Anyone interested in learning more about South Asian language pedagogy may attend SALTA’s annual conference: seasoned professionals, emerging scholars, community members, and individuals curious about the theories, methods, and practices of language teaching. SALTA members may do so for free and gain other perks! Official SALTA members receive:
- Voting privileges in the organization (except student members)
- Free access to SALTA workshops, materials, and publications
- Waived registration fees for the annual conference (fees vary from year to year)
- Ability to participate in working groups
- Eligibility for board positions (after three years)
The current membership fees are listed below. Fees are due before the end of the calendar year (31-December) and provide membership benefits for one year. Lifetime memberships are also available.
Student Member (non-voting) – $25
Member – $35
Institutional Member (may send a voting delegate) – $125
Lifetime Member – $500
