| SASLI is pleased to announce that it is officially accepting applications for Lecturers and Teaching Assistants for the Summer 2023 program in the following languages: Bengali, Dari, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, Pashto, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sinhala, Tamil, Tibetan, and Urdu. All languages are offered at the Elementary and Intermediate levels, and Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu are also taught at the Advanced level. Two synchronous, remote sections of elementary Hindi and Sanskrit are new options beginning next summer. The positions will run from June 12 – August 11, 2023, which includes one week of pedagogy training prior to classes, which begin on June 19. Applications must be submitted through the UW Jobs Portal. Required application materials include: Cover letter addressing teaching philosophy, language(s) and level(s) applying to teach, and number of semesters taught in higher education language courses or equivalent experience; Resume/CV; Sample syllabus of the preferred language and level applying to teach; List of 3 professional references; Student evaluations are strongly encouraged. The SASLI hiring committee will review student and performance evaluations from instructors who have previously taught at SASLI.
