INSTRUCTOR OF VIETNAMESE
The Language Workshop of the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University seeks instructors for its 2022 program in Vietnamese (June 6 – July 29, 2022). The Workshop is an intensive, 8-week program, providing accelerated, performance-based instruction. For details, see https://languageworkshop.indiana.edu/vietnamese/
Required Qualifications
Native or at least ILR 2+ (ACTFL AH) speaker of Vietnamese
MA or equivalent in language, language instruction, linguistics, or related field
U.S. citizen, non-citizen authorized to work in the U.S., or non-citizen able to receive a J visa
Desired Qualifications
U.S. Citizen or holder of work authorization (green card)
Experience in communicative, standards-based instruction
Experience in accelerated and intensive instruction
Experience in independent teaching
2 semesters or more experience teaching language in U.S. at the university level
Experience teaching Vietnamese to U.S. university students
